Henan Xijian New Building Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2013 and is located in Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province—the source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project—and lies in the hometown of Shang Sheng Fan Li, at the junction of Henan, Hubei, and Shaanxi provinces. The company covers an area of over 30 mu and has an office space of more than 4,000 square meters. It employs over 30 professionals, including 4 doctoral degree holders and 9 master’s degree holders. The company comprises a board of directors, a general manager’s office, a human resources department, a procurement department, a finance department, sales companies (including a Zhengzhou branch and a Xi’an branch), a legal affairs department, a production and manufacturing department, and a research and development center (divisions one and two).

Storage and Transportation of Tile Adhesives

Tile adhesive (tile grout) is a dry-mix mortar product. Improper storage and transportation can easily lead to moisture absorption and caking, which in turn may impair its bonding performance. During storage, the product should be kept in a dry, cool place, protected from direct sunlight and humidity. The ideal storage temperature is between 5°C and 25°C, with relative humidity not exceeding 70%. Unopened products should be stored on elevated platforms (e.g., at least 20 cm above the ground). Stacking height should not exceed 10 packages to prevent damage to the lower-layer packaging due to pressure and to avoid the effects of ground moisture.

Application of tile and floor tile adhesives

Tile adhesives have a wide range of applications and can be used on ceramic tiles, stoneware tiles, as well as plastered surfaces. They are particularly important in areas that are subject to prolonged immersion or relatively high humidity. Different types of tiles require adhesives with varying materials and specifications; therefore, the choice of tile adhesive should be tailored to the specific type of tile. In the thin-bed application method, after the base adhesive is applied in strip patterns, its thickness is only 3 to 5 mm. Before construction begins, sample tiles and adhesives meeting the design requirements should be used to create test specimens. The bond strength of the tiles must comply with the provisions of the current industry standard "Test Standard for Bond Strength of Facing Tiles in Building Engineering," JGJ/T 110.
